We really enjoyed our stay in Green cottage .It was a perfect home to return to each day after exploring the wonderful local area.
It’s a warm,comfortable home in a perfect location.
Thank you for letting us stay ,we will definitely be returning to Borth y gest and would book again if the house is available.

Cottage was easy to find, very good instructions sent after booking. There was plenty of room for our party of 5 adults and an infant and our medium sized dog. We used the travel cot which was provided, all bedrooms had storage and comfy beds. Good sized bathroom and shower and a cloakroom loo. Excellent kitchen with room for dining. Setting was lovely literally 2 mins walk from the bay and what a view.. we walked down to the beach and enjoyed the views across the bay. 5 minute drive from Porthmadoc and in the opposite direction to the beach to watch the evening sunsets over Criccieth castle...cracking base for the whole Llyn Penninsula..a Lovely stay

Well appointed cottage with everything you need. Full size fridge freezer and dishwasher. Washer should you need it. Nice to have Sky and decent broadband as little mobile signal (O2). Two toilets. On site parking for one car. Living room faces an open communal grassed area with football goal kids would enjoy, though slightly overlooked from neighbour's patio. One minute walk from glorious view from the harbour. Excellent beach another ten minute walk. Portmadog a short drive away for the supermarket. I enjoyed my stay.

We had a lovely time at Green Cottage, despite it being a very blustery weekend in North Wales! The kids loved their bunk beds and the grown ups found their beds very comfy too. It was the perfect size for our family of 7 (4 adults, 2 children plus a baby) and well equipped. The best part was the location, which was fabulous! Just a stones throw to the beachfront, a gorgeous cafe, coastal walks and picture perfect 360 degree views.

The cottage had not been cleaned on arrival. The cleaners did arrive approximately one hour after I phoned the owner, saying "we'll have it done in no time".

In fact, I would have preferred for them to have spent a long time, doing a thorough deep clean of the house, which was very dirty and smelly in parts.

After they left, the downstairs toilet still smelt of men's urine and the smaller bedroom with bunkbeds smelt of rancid man's aftershave. Neither of those smells disappeared as the week went on.

I had to look down the back of the sofa, in order to turn the reading light on. It was filthy - with lots of dead insects, hair and debris. Disgusting!

When I phoned the owner to advise her that the house hadn't been cleaned and the beds hadn't been made up for our arrival, she said she would contact the agency and we would be compensated - this has never happened.

We gad a lovely holuday in Green Cottage. Very clean and comfortable abd gad everything we needed. Very close to the front with wonderful beaches to walk to. We love Borth y Gest and would stay in the house again but there was one problem that we feel would have to be fixed beforehand. I put the washing machine on in the morning and by evening it was still going. I had to turn it off and eventually it opened and I was able to put it on drain & spin. We could not use it again!

We enjoyed our stay at Green Cottage. Ideally located, just a stone’s throw from the centre of Borth y Gest, and just a short walk to the best beaches (Garreg Goch in particular). Really convenient for exploring the surrounding area as well. The cottage was well equipped, and just right for our family of 4. Some of the furnishings/decor were a little “tired” but still clean and comfortable. It was great having the dishwasher and the washer/dryer, although we did have some issues with the washer (we put it on before heading out for the day but, on our return several hours later, discovered it had got stuck on the washing cycle - not ideal). All in all it was a lovely family holiday, and we would recommend Green Cottage.

Excellent property. Everything you could possibly need provided. Area at the back provided a football net for the boys. People mention problems with TV but we accessed what we needed! Turn right outside the door and cross a small road. Go through the gap between the cafe and you are on the sea front. Very quaint quiet resort. There are no shops but Porthmadog is a very short drive away or 15 minute walk. We fetched fish and chips from there to eat on the benches on the sea front. Very central for visiting other parts of Wales. One slight negative it says parking for two cars. Bit tight if you have larger cars but we just parked one on the street. Would definitely return.

Lovely cosy, clean, comfortable and very well equipped cottage. A nice short walk to the beautiful harbour of Borth y gest. Only niggle would be that the small outside area at the back not being fenced is quite inconvenient when you have a dog so for that reason I wouldn’t really class it as dog friendly.
